How to Figure out Your Apple Watch Band Sizing?
As you may or may not know, the connector shape and size are the same across all Apple Watch series models, making this way, all bands and bracelets compatible with every Apple watch.
What needs to be clarified is that not all bands and bracelets are one size fits all. You should figure out your wrist size and then you are free to shop online and find the ideal design that will fit with your Apple watch. How to do that? Well, there is an international measuring system for wrist size.
The only thing you have to do is to measure your wrist by using a cloth tape measure. Feel free to measure the wrist you prefer to connect your Apple watch as it is only a matter of comfort and preference.
You can wrap your wrist with the cloth tape measure at the place you usually wear the watch. And if by chance you don’t have a wrist measuring tool, you can approximately find your wrist size by taking a look at the table below. Note: 1 inch equals 25.4mm
Your correct band size is the combined length of the two straps. It is necessary to find the correct band size on Apple watches as it has significant importance in terms of comfort and but also affects the functionality of the heart rate sensor.
The standard band size for women is from 165 up to 180mm.
The standard band size for men is from 184 up to 197mm.
Keep an eye on the case size too
Apple watches come in different case sizes as well. The case diameter may vary from one model to another, and that needs to be clarified prior to choosing your Apple watch. (It has nothing to do with your band/bracelet though). The giant tech tycoon switched to larger case sizes with the introduction of the Apple Watch 4th Generation and on. As of September 2020, Apple has released seven series of their smartwatches. Along with improved features and added functions, the watch case size also differs. To simplify, the table below shows you the case size for every Apple Watch model:
Apple Watch Model | Case Size |
Apple Watch (1st Generation) | 38mm and 42mm |
Series 1 | 38mm and 42mm |
Series 2 | 38mm and 42mm |
Series 3 | 38mm and 42mm |
Series 4 | 40mm and 44mm |
Series 5 | 40mm and 44mm |
SE | 40mm and 44mm |
Series 6 | 40mm and 44mm |
In Final Words
We hope you have enjoyed the above-mentioned Apple Watch bands and bracelets. We also came across band sizing and how important it is to find the precise band size on an Apple watch. It affects the functionality of Apple’s watch heart rate sensor, but you also don’t want it to be too loose or too tight. That would not be a great wearing experience. As for the straps and bracelets, Apple already provides a vast catalog on their own but we wanted to include other recommendations to allow the wearer to have more options and adorn their wrists without having to break the bank.
